Foam for an Anvil case

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently bought an Ampeg blue line SVT and it came with an Anvil road case. But the case is missing all of the foam.

I wrote to Anvil to see if they sell replacement foam for my case but not word back from them. I'm sure it's because they really just want me to buy a new case. Or they aren't really into supporting old products.

Does anyone know where to get the correct type of foam for my case?

Did you ask for a quote from this page?

Most cities have one or more shops that specialize in foam, and believe it or not they'll be in the yellow pages under "foam". Or Google of course... http://a1foamrubber.com/

Hey Charlie, I did write to Anvil customer service but no word back from them. I emailed Calzone yesterday, since they are the parent company. Maybe they will be a bit more proactive.

Hi Cyrus, I did go to A1 but I'm just being lazy trying to go through Anvil/Calzone. I was hoping I would get the right foam precut and ready to glue in. With A1 I will have to order since they don't have the 1.5" ester foam in stock. Then of course I would have to cut it.In the past when I've cut foam it's looked like it was cut with a dull butter knife. I guess if Calzone isn't responsive I'll just bite the bullet and order through A1.

I guess more than anything I'm miffed that Anvil hasn't been responsive.

Understood. FWIW, if you end up getting the foam locally, the trick is to use a hot wire blade. Also A1 will cut it for you.

Thank you for the tip on the hot wire blade. I didn't even think about having A1 cut it for me. If I don't hear from Calzone or Anvil I will swing by A1 and at least get the foam ordered.
