The former lead singer of Creed....living life too fast

2003
Court TV) -- Christian rockers Creed are being sued by a quartet of disgruntled Chicago-area fans who claim that the band's lead singer was too wasted to pull off a December 29 gig at Chicago's Allstate Arena.

Singer Scott Stapp "was so intoxicated and/or medicated that he was unable to sing the lyrics of a single Creed song," claimed their suit, filed Monday in Cook County Circuit Court.

The four fans, two from Chicago, two from nearby Lowell, Indiana, are asking for a refund of their $55.50 ticket price and parking.

Last year:

After a stint in rehab, he recorded Divide, which was released this past November. But Stapp's sobriety didn't last long -- seven months to be exact -- and he made headlines for his Thanksgiving night altercation with the band 311 in a Baltimore bar and for his bizarre conduct during a taping of Spike TV's Casino Cinema.

Last week:

Barry A. Jeckell, N.Y.
An intoxicated Scott Stapp was arrested Saturday at Los Angeles International Airport. An Airport Police representative confirms to Billboard.com that the former Creed singer was taken into custody for being under the influence, but was unable to elaborate on the charges.

The singer was married a day earlier in Miami to Jaclyn Nesheiwat, who is a former Miss New York and the director of public affairs for the Scott Stapp Foundation, which promotes healthy parent-child relationships.

Sex video with Kid Rock will test faithful Stapp fans

Kid Rock
Former Creed front man Scott Stapp
Troubled former Creed singer Scott Stapp may lose the last of his Christian disciples now that a sex tape has emerged in which he co-stars with Kid Rock.

Rock, 35, and Stapp, 32, do not have sex with each other on the tape, but they do trade jokes and share camera time as they get down with some strippers.

In one scene, Rock and Stapp are standing side by side as a pair of buxom babes pleasures them.

"This is my third," Stapp tells the cameraman. "It's good to be the king."

The 20-minute tape is said to have been made six years ago after the rockers visited a Miami strip club. As if that isn't skeevy enough, they all have sex in a motor home - complete with fake-wood paneling.

Buwhahahaha, I always thought that guy was a jackass, now he's proving me right. Thanks Scott. It's nice to see all the bad karma he's been giving off, for years, coming back to roost.

As a former resident of Orlando, who had the DISpleasure of running into Mr. Stapp in public numerous times, none of this is a surprise. He's a punk, he got lucky, he didn't make the most of his luck. Hopefully his 15 minutes are just about up.

He has a foundation for healthy parent-child relationships and he's a drunk. Nice. What a loser. I love to see these people who basically have it made mess up. Sober up and start to contribute to society. Idiot.

Anybody catch the interview Kayla did with him on Sirius Radio? It was on the Octane channel....Stapp is one serious egomaniac. What an ass....

Kept talking about how he was the best thing that ever happened to the other three guys in Creed and that the music they created was nothing until he "arranged" it.

Dude's got serious issues..........

This is now officially the fourth most important TB
thread ever, second only to Joshua's, the Chuck Norris
and Qintar threads.

Butthead is a word invented to decribe Mr. Stapp.

When it comes to scandal, Stapp has been on a roll. Last Friday, he married former Miss New York Jaclyn Nesheiwat in Miami - only to get busted the next day for public intoxication at LAX airport. Last Thanksgiving, he got into a bar fight in Baltimore with the band 311. And back in December, he made a high-spirited appearance on Spike TV, where he insulted Bono and Dave Grohl.

I caught the interview on Octane.

It made my feelings about him justified that much more.

And I agree with what Matt said.

My friend is a fan, and I have been trying to rehab him for a while. This may snap him out of it!

I like Creed's music, Stapp's conduct notwithstanding.

Can I get my money back from all those concerts in the 70's?
80% of the concerts I saw back then the band was too lit up to be in public let alone on stage.
You should have seen Aerosmith before Re-hab days. David Lee Roth? He wonders why he got fired.

Sorry if I got it wrong. I saw them right after thet released their fist album in San Diego, it was supposed to be the first show of that tour. They kicked butt!!!!
Then I saw them in 83 at the US festeval. David ruined the show. He was so drunk he couldn't hardly stand, and all he did was BS at the crowd in a drunken stooper. Love VH, David lost me there. After that performance, I figured they booted him.

And for the record, Scott Stapp isn't fit to shine Dave's shoes...

Maybe it was a fluke? I was tainted because I'd had seen him put on an outstanding show before.

Scott Stapp is in my oblivious to file.

I didn't say the others were chior boys, but they did not make complete fools out of themselves in front of 300,000 people.
