It'd be more impressive if they were all the same key too.

It reminds me of another chord progression that has been used so many times:

And yes I hate that song as well. With a passion.

This once again shows my age and musical preference I guess, can't seem to recognize most of the "artists" .

That was BRILLIANT, thanks for posting. I don't hate that progression, but then again, I'm no cellist.

What about I,IV,V ? Now there's a progression that's been used a few times over the years.

Just my 0.02€

That's news...?

Every U2 song in their 20 year history, has had the same chord sequence and same plodding bass line hasn't it!!

As a bassist who played cello parts in a quintet, I can assure you on the same eight notes 54 times. And the melody is the same thing repeated over and over again, with minor changes thrown in for the sake of not going insane. To me it's the most boring and repetitive piece of classical music.

Most people love it however, and I will play it. For cash of course.

Yeah, but that one would go on for years. Youtube has a limit of 10 min.

I'm thinking that might be a geographical issue more than an age one. I'm willing to be an Aussies here would recognize some of the ones that are lost on us.
