I just saw Foxy Shazam last night with Fall of Troy. I was there to see what FOT was all about and accompany a friend who was going alone.
Foxy Shazam knocked my socks off. It's not often I say that. In fact I'm not sure I've ever said that or meant it this much.

I don't know how much it will interest a bunch of bassists because with all the layers, the bass is not playing the most intricate material. If you like Queen at all, you've got to give them a listen. If you're a "purist" who won't listen to anything recent, you've still got to check them out.
"I tried to write a good song, but there aren't any left to write... the Beatles took them all..."
Not sure if that's original from the mind of the singer or not, but it shows their respect for good music and their incredible sources of influence. The CD refers to Blood Brothers, Modest Mouse and Queen and all those are very apparent.
In searching I found that one of our TBers has opened for them. How was that?
And here's the main point... Their first CD is out of print and may not be in print again until the Fall. Does anyone have it or know where I can buy it? Any other tidbits would be much appreciated as I'm just discovering this amazing band.
