Fretless bass+Acoustic Guitar duos

I was wondering if anyone could reccomend some fretless bass and acoustic guitar duos.

I already know of Michael Manring and Dave Cullen's album "Equilbre", and I really like how the 2 instruments sound together

That is one of my favorite CD's of all-time! It's so great!

I haven't come across any other CD like that. Sorry.

Not exactly what you asked for, but Dave Friesen and Uwe Kropinski have a series of EUB/acoustic guitar CDs that you might want to check out.

I was in a trio with my brother he played acoustic I played fretless and we had a drummer. Nice arrangement, fretless bass and acoustic guitar works really great. Get a load of Bruce Cockburn's "Dancing In The Dragon's Jaws" album - fantastic stuff!

Nice suggestion. This sounds like some really great stuff. I did a search and listened to some sound samples. The stuff I heard isn't as involved as Michael and David's stuff, but it's really nice.

I have two of the live sides, which I bought through a friend who studied with Friesen at the time. Looks like they're now more widely available. Anyhow, neither one really reflected the wacky stuff they play live, at least at the show I saw a few years ago. If you ever get a chance to see them play live, go out of your way to do so!

One of my two main bands, the Tom Martin Band, has the line up acoustic guitar/vocals, fretless bass, sax and percussion. But we've done a few gigs just as a duo and it works really well, lots of space.

Here's a track by the 4 piece version of the band, hope you like it.

Joni Mitchell and Jaco Pastorius made a good acoustic guitar and fretless bass dou together. He played on a couple albums of hers.

Any Michael Hedges and Michael Manring collaboration. More specifically, here are a few songs:

After the Gold Rush (Manring's bass as melody)
Menage a Trois (some flute too)
Dirge
Oracle (also flute)
Tomorrow Never Knows

And there's also this utterly brilliant duet by Mr. Manring and Adam Werner on Will Ackerman's "The Impending Death of the Virgin Spirit". That tone right there is what fretless should sound like, in my opinion.

You can also Youtube "Michael Manring" to come up with some more duets with Adam Werner and Don Ross.
