Fretless ERB(7)+all-tube amp = ?

I couldn't decide to put this in basses or amps, so here it is. Anyone out there plugging their fretless into an all-tube rig? I have a deal in the works to trade my fretless 7 for a new-build 6(think breast reduction ), but in addition to getting cold feet on losing the 7, I'm wondering what it will/would sound like through the Mesa/Boogie D-180 that's on it's way to me(due next Thursday). So I'd love to hear from fretless players that do the nothin'-but-tubes thing. Thoughts?

But of course

I should have thought of you, James. I guess I tend to make a mental note of your lovely basses or your Classic 400, but didn't quite put the two together. Thank you for somewhat confirming what I suspect- that glass minus frets equals sweetness

Pff. You could put a Kazoo though a tube amp, it would still sound beautiful.
