Fretless in Gospel

I was listening to some praise and worship music, and thought about how nice a fretless would sound in some of the Gospel music I listen to, with it's MWAH, I think it would really add a beautiful voice to the music. Thoughts?

My new fretless (arriving soon, hopefully) will be used quite frequently at my church. We don't play Gospel, but it's still the same principle I guess, though we try to be more experimental like David Crowder...

I dont know what gospel music you listen to, but there is a song by the Miami Mass Choir called "What God has for me" that guy uses a fretless. Sounds great, real warm too

I use my fretless 5 sometimes for P & W ballads.

To be honest I would use it more it I weren't so lazy about hauling 2 basses!!

when I saw the title. I thought this was going to say:

The Gospel of _______ says, "blessed are the fretless, for they are truly devine."

And I don't even own one

I've taken my fretless to play at church on a couple of occasions.
I love playing my fretless, it's probably my first choice of bass these days.
For what ever reason, I still end up playing fretted most of the time though.

[quote=Joshua]When played tastefully, there's no style of music that couldn't be enhanced by sweet fretless tones...
