And Dave, I'll be glad to drop you an e-mail...The bands haven't worked out all the gear logistics, but there's a good chance you'll be seeing your old triad (sorry, Jazzbo) if you come. It's my main gig cab these days.

You got PM, Adam.
Hey, Pete. I'm not on the Nashville bill, I'm afraid, but if you want to say hi to Britt and Bob, Mention William and TalkBass. They'll know.

Unfortunately, I parked at Bocce's valet, which closes at 11:30pm, which I thought wouldn't be a problem since the show was at 9:00. Bummer, as Blackbird didn't get to go on until 11:10 or so. So, I only saw/heard two songs.
Let me say this. It was clear with two songs, hell it was clear after the first bar of Will's playing, that Will is the man. I watched the band that played prior, and they were fine. The bassplayer was fine, did his job, but unimpressive. The distinction, the line between Will and this player, and many many others I've heard, is quite clear. Will is just such a strong player. He has awesome tone, impeccable time, exceptional technique, and amazing groove. Really, his groove is awesome.
I was thoroughly impressed with his playing, as I've always been. I'm a huge fan. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
