Funk, Soul, AfroBeat, R&B bands I haven't heard of yet...please share!

Hey all. I've been hooked on the funky soul vibe for a while but besides a few newerish bands (Down to the Bone, Soulive & Motet), I only really know the legends (Sly, P-Funk, Herbie...).

Please post me some fresh bands for me and other soul seeking funk junkies to check out.
