Man, I love Joe Cocker's performances! The captioning was funny... but the singing / performance was one of my favorite of what I've seen of the Woodstock footage.

Good stuff. A lot of those vids don't even come close...but that vid was spot-on. I bet that transcription would hold up in court!

I agree that it one one of the most inspired Woodstock performances. I can only imagine what inspired it.

This was always my favorite version of a good song. I noticed Joe does a lot of "Singerspeak" where a simple phrase like "Love you, Baby." might get turned into something like "LllllhhuuuvvvvvyehBuhbeh" but I'd never realized how far off the tracks he wanders on this one.


The leg is still the best part.

And after watching that, I will hear Joe Cocker sing about turbans, turbines and Fred's leather. I really changed my perception of what he's singing!
