Creative rock duo seeks multi-instumentalist primary strength bass guitar, vocal talent a plus. Must have 18 years experience and formal training on bass, professional rig, and proficiency at some other instument/s (keys, synth, aux percussion, ect).

Email at the link above if interested, my name is xxxxx

So where did they come up with 18 years? why not 17 or 19?

This for some reason reminds me of my deadbeat uncle who started a roofing business that "had been serving this community for over 40 years" when he was 41 years old.

Lufthanza Airlines has an 18 year training program for their pilots. Its a safety measure- anyone without at least 18 years experience could hurt someone.
Its like that scene from the Blues Brothers movie where they play that honkey tonk behind the chicken wire- Imagine only having 17 years experience with all those rednecks throwing beer bottles!

The "formal training on bass" part knocked me out of the running. All of my lessons were "no jacket required" informal sessions.
