I am still pretty new here but I can't figure out what G.A.S. means? I figured out by context it means gear people want to acquire.

Gear Acquired Soon?

I even googled the acronym and checked the FAQ.

2 out of 3 doesn't mean too much. You would have been just as close if you thought it meant "gonorrhea acquired soon"

It's been almost an hour and so far no one has posted a link to the "bean scene" from Blazing Saddles?!?!

I don't know whether I should be impressed by the high maturity level being displayed or should be let down for not reaching the typically low level of maturity we usually cling to here.

When I was a kid my dads was fond of saying whogas when asked about something he didn't really have an opinion on. I never figured out what he was saying so after I got older ( and bolder) I asked him about it.

Apparently it was his polite way of saying who Gives A S&!t.

In case you didn't notice it's designed to be a (humorous) fake psychological/medical condition, like "gaposis" [Gap-Oh-sis] (when your jacket is too short and you get a cold ring around your middle between the jacket and pants).

Well, maybe GAS isn't so fake a psychological condition (I'll have to check the DSM) ... but it is humorous.

The "Urban Dictionary" is pretty good when it comes to things like this: Urban Dictionary, October 19: Human Microphone
