I want to play along with songs, and I would rather plug the cd player into my amp and then put on some headphones. It just sounds better and I don't have to turn anything up loudly. Anything like that exist?
Or, something that would let me plug in my bass into my computer and play songs through winamp while playing my bass? But the thing is, it can't suck. What I mean is, it has to sound good through the computer, too. I have an ok sound card... and good headphones... |

Now I want something to plug in my cd player into my amp, so I can hear the music as well as the noise I make. It's just a lot more clear through headphones.
Or, if I could find something that would let me plug in my bass into my computer, I could play the songs off my computer and play along to them like that (also using headphones). |

Just see what other input options your amp has and find a cord that has that on one end and a 1/8" on the other. |

Also, it has a 1/4th input with a speaker drawing over it. What's that for? To use a different speaker instead of the stock one (it's a combo amp)? |

I picked up a 1/8" -> red/white cord at radioshack for a few bucks, if you get one you can plug cd player straight into the amp. |

You plug your CD player and bass into it and plug in a set of headphones. Wallah! No noise, you wake no one up, and it's crystal clear! It even has a tuner, pitch changer if the songs you are playing to are in a different key than you want them, a drum machine, etc... I love it and it goes where ever you do. I practice in my office at the end of the day sometimes before going to rehearsal or if I have free time at the office.
There is also another product made by Tascom or something like that. It has the CD player built into it and you can slow down the tempo too. |

EDIT: If I got a 1/8th -> red/white adapter thing, would I be able to use my iPod to play songs through my amp? |

By the way, those are called RCA jacks.

- Decent speakers - with subwoofer - for the PC
- CD in the PC
- Play along with your amp
That's how I do 90% of my practicing.

but yeah, that's how i practice.

But yeah, I got the 1/8th -> RCA ( ) cable and now I can plug in my iPod into the amp! No messy CD's to worry about, and I can use my headphones! Thanks, all. |

I forgot how much money it was, but it's just great. Portable, reliable great sound, lots of gagets, but I don't use 90% of them. You could even hook it up to your amp if you want to play music through your amp too. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
