I hope Robert is co-author on this album.

Can you imagine Ulrich drumming some funky shizzle?

No.

Hopefully they won't spend millions trying to recreate the sound of a garage band again. I'm pretty sure the tunes on St. Anger were great, at least they sounded that way through the camera's mic on the documentary, but on the album, I couldn't tell, because all I could hear was that stupid snare ringing endlessly like a bad Atari 2600 sound effect.

COOL! Lets see what they can come up with, with Robert Trujillo in place during creation time.

I just saw the documentary, and all the music I heard on it sounded great, worthy of the Metallica name. But on record it sounds like crap . . . a shame.

If Ruben comes onboard and Trujillo gets some real input we could actually see something really good. Lets all hope so!

Which is funny, because I heard the new stuff live before I heard the CD and the live stuff sounded great... CD sounded not so good

Early metallica was a bit too bogan-esque for me. Master Of Puppets was the shiz though. St. Anger was rubbish. I personally think the only reason metallica got bagged out when the changed their style to the Load and Reload days is because of the whole Napstar crap that went down. Those albums werent THAT bad. But hey, I guess their main support was from thrash head bogans, so, whatya expect....

Maybe they can get the Tower of Power horn section to sit in on a couple of tracks.
