Gard's Last Sale at BC???

Sign in to disble this ad
I made a planned excursion to Bass Central to try out some basses to replace my Modulus Q5 today. This bass was retired due to a quirky left shoulder, so I was in search of a light fiver. Little did I know that I would possibly be Gard's last sale of his storied career at BC. Now he goes to work with Keith Roscoe in a probably much, much saner working environment, to put it mildly. Hard taskmaster is an understatement! Anyway, in my earlier gassier days I would have gone deep in debt for the Elrick he first handed me. But alas, it wasn't $1000 better than the blond Lakland 55-02 I ended up getting. I couldn't tell any distinct difference from my previous 55-94. So, good luck Gard up there in the land of burl.

Thanks guys!

Rick, I doubt you're going to be the absolute last sale I make, still have a few days left at BC. However, I'm really happy you are one of the last few! Thanks for the kind words and good wishes...and darn, I tried to get another of Rob's basses in someone's hands before I left...curses, foiled again!

MM, I did suggest the Sadowsky Metro, but it was more expensive than the Elrick NJS that I first handed him!

Joker, I will do my best to "improve perfection".

Everyone....uh.....thanks! Y'all are the best, not me.

I would have bought the Elrick had you not done such a good job selling the Lakland!
