GAS GAS.....

My favorite local shop where I take my kids (and myself) for lessons has a spalted Walnut Fender Telecaster (HH Seymore Ds w/push pull, switch etc) on clearance for a ridiculous price. I bought a Squier strat last year, but since letting my daughter use it it's getting all banged up. Everytime I go into his shop this tele calls to me and I wind up with it in my hands (we're talking 5 or 6 times now). I don't even know how to play guitar. I should be happy enough that I've got a nice strat I can use.

I'm a sucker for a deal. Somebody talk some sense into me. It's $400 less than MF.

I've got four lessons lined up, I can use them for bass or guitar. I'm thinking of splitting them and learn some guitar.

Every once in awhile I get guitar GAS so I know what you're talking about. Guitars get so many more cool designs/colors then basses in general. A few months ago I seriously wanted to buy a PRS singlecut, but thankfully I didn't get it. Go look at rondomusic.com. Their guitars are really good quality especially the over $200 ones. They have some pretty cool designs too. Might save yourself a bunch of money and still get your guitar GAS taken care of.

So I go into GC today (land of missing knobs), they want $819. My friend says "go buy it now, we'll sell it for a profit". I tell him I don't think it's that easy.

A few weeks ago I was there while some guy bought all kinds of stuff from the store obviously to sell online. I dunno how the guy sells so cheap. Obviously GC has a much higher overhead. The dude does a much better setup and all his gear is MINT perfect condition, also the opposite of GC.

I've convince myself that I don't need this guitar. Must pay bills must pay bills......

There is only one cure for a bad case of GAS (and I think you know what it is).

Haha,

Check it out I for sure just found the guy who I saw in there buying up stock to sell online.....

Might actually be some $$ in it. I don't know if the owner has some deal with Fender or they give him NOS or what, but his prices are the lowest by far. I'm talking lower for new gear than I've seen used on Ebay. Hmmmmm

Here's a link to the same model for sale by the dude who bought stuff to sell online;

Well, I called the guy today and he already sold the one he had listed for super ultra cheap. He had one left over which the shop owner felt was a better looking sample so he held firm on his price (still hundreds less than everybody else). I had pumped the guitar so hard my buddy told me to buy it for him, so I did. It sounds AWESOME. It's my buddies favorite guitar now, and he's got a vintage US strat and a $2k Les Paul.
