Unhappy GAS is a sickness

And I am afflicted with this dreadful...err...affliction. In the past...oh I would say, two months, I have bought four cabs (2 Epis, a Schroeder, and a NV610) one bass, one amp, a new bass, a POD, and a whole host of rack toys (12 space almost full). That was after I sold a great bass (Spector 6 string) and a great rig (Ashdown EVOII, Epifani t-310). So now I have a great Epifani rig (115 and 210) for practicing with a band that I'm not even in yet (I'm still shopping for a project that interests me) a great Schroeder for home practice (you know...when I'm not playing with the "band") and a NV610 for gigs...with my band.
Well, today...actually about an hour or so ago, I saw an ad on Craigslist for an Ampeg 810, $500. Its in my neighborhood too. The guy swears that it's in great shape and invites interested parties to bring an amp and test drive it. It is taking all of my will power not to send an email. As soon as I read it, I thought "Hey an 810 would be great for band practice once I'm playing in a band again." I'm still thinking of emailing the guy and going to check it out tomorrow. Does TB offer sponsors? I could sure use someone to talk me down right now...

I'm with ya bro, your not the only one around here with this affliction... I'm the same dam way.

After I accumulated more than enough quality gear for any possible situation, I've been justifying my further purchases by only buying cool used gear that's priced super low and is desirable enough to be increasing in value over time.

With you owning a NV610, I can totally see you having a fridge to keep at the practice room, although I've seen quite a few of these cabs going for this price (or lower), and I'd probably pass on it unless it was a vintage (square-back) model in really good condition.

Yeah, I've always wanted a fridge. I've owned several AMpeg cabs, but never a fridge. And I still want one...even though I have a 610. But I'm thinking that more and more with the super lightweight cabs like epifani and schroeder coming out, they are killing the value of the fridges. So I'm thinking that if I hold out long enough I'll find one for a steal. No one wants to lug those things around anymore. And neither do I...but I still want one!
$500 is the cheapest one I've ever seen. I see them all the time going for $700; which is too much IMO. I'm sure I'll end up buying one eventually.
