So Far this Year...
Fender American Jazz - Tick, Got!
Fender / Custom P-Bass (P-Body PU, Jazz NEck) - Still on list
Gallien Krueger 800RB - Tick, Got!
Decent sounding Cabinet - A few days away

I don't wanna hear it. I've spent about $4000 this year alone on bass gear.

no its what i want....i mean, playing for 5 groups takes its toll

the geddy lee for my funk group, i need a good 4 string jazz, already have the 5 string jazz, the classic series jazz for my jazz stuff, and a jack johnson/john mayer type outfit ill be doin with my mates, the atk cos i miss my old one , effects, well, because i just want em and the amp, because i NEED it, upgrade from the peavey mark 3 and ashton 115....although if i can find a peavey 1516 cabinet ill keep the head and upgrade the amp in a few years ...

but this year ive just bought a few new leads and my KSD v70j 5 string....well, i actually traded the kubicki for it....

oh, and to put your minds at ease....

Funny, I didn't really think its was an active gear year until I wrote everything down after reading this thread. Bottom line. mostly subtractions:

Off-Loaded:
  • '92 MIA fretted 5
  • '98 MIA fretted 4
  • '98 MIM fretted 4
  • '00 SRX505 fretted 5
  • '02 GT-7 wine colored, bad frets
  • '01 GT-7 natural, just didn't feel right
  • '90 SCG Nanyo Bass Collection fretted 4

Added:
  • '02 FBB fretless 6 #00-020
  • '02 GT-7 wine (in the out list above)
  • '01 GT-7 natural (in the out list above)
  • '02-GT-7 - this one is definitely a keeper

Probably soon-to-depart:
  • '04 Brice Z6NT fretted 6
  • '68 Goya J knock-off (re-hab bass, almost done)

Bottom line, by the time this is done, I'll be down to the GT-7, the FBB fretless 6, and an '86 MIJ Power Jazz Special 4.
