Why does Gearwire pic people to demo products that haven't a clue of how to even play?

...or even tune their instruments. I saw one vid where one of the strings of the guitar being played was quite clearly out of tune yet the video continued on...

But you know, it's kinda weird. I like their tendency to go through the whole ritual of opening up the box of some new effect ("here's the registration card..."). You kinda get to relive the excitement of opening up a new toy of your own a little.

I just watched a vid where the guitar wasnt tuned-damn thats a pet peeve of mine. The products suffer due to their poor representation.

I think of Gearwire now as more of a comedy routine.

Makes me laugh everytime.

Ah man I hate the guy who does reviews for Gear Wire. He spends half the time going over the box and other pointless crap. The guy from World Music Supply is far better, and damn can he play.

Imagine if he didn't have the effect packaging. The videos would be twice as short.

Here's one of the comments from the MXR Dyna Comp vid:

"Let's see whats in the box." Hmmm, maybe it'll be some rubber dog poop imported from Hong Kong... (warpigs020)

They do that because they know that none of us will read the manual.
