Is Geddy Lee a baseball fan?

Apparently so. I live near Kansas City Kansas and recently went to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. Fascinating place; it's a total testament to the blacks of the early part of the 20th century playing ball in the face of discrimination. But I noticed in the museum a huge collection of baseballs all autographed by members of the negro leagues!

Since when is Geddy a baseball fan?

geddy lee donated the collection to the museum a few years ago. he's been a b-ball fan forever - look at the back of the signals album.

yep...

I got the new Rush documentary and they had a little blurb in it about their hobbies developed on the road. and Geddy said after getting up midday the next day after a late night gig, there was a choice between the Cubs, and soap operas. so, he'd eat his breakfast and watch the cubs play pretty regularly and REALLY got into the game. he's also a mondo collector. the pic shown is somewhere in the house and he's got all kinds of famous baseballs including presidential baseballs. so, I think he's got a thing for it.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that in the display cases holding the baseballs was sign saying something like "From the collection of Geddy Lee".

My bad.

Saw him at a Blue Jays game back in the late 80's. He kinda stood out as he was dressed a bit like he'd just got off stage as opposed to everyone else in the crowd.

Saw him on a Cubs game this weekend, and the WGN announcers recognized him.

I now like Geddy a little bit more. Still not wild about Rush, but Geddy is A-okay with me.
