I really dont like the thumping feeling i get in my chest when at a gig.
this is being in the audience, not stood infront of a bass amp.
is there any way to get rid of/ help get rid of this at gigs?
also, i get quite cloustrophobic at gigs, and i'm going to an arena this friday so i'm quite nervous about it, any tips for claming down?
Thanks.

Just try and find 2-3 places where you focus and try and ignore the people that are there?
Sounds a bit lame, but you will get more used to playing infront of people the more you do it, and it'll get to the point where you enjoy that thump

If it happened I would try and get out of the scrum and stand at the side or at the back where there are less people, not the best solution if you want to be at the front I guess.
I found the main thing is to just try and not panic, just take some deep breaths and try not to get too freaked out and focus on the music. |

Either turn down the volume on your rig, or back off on the bass frequencies on your EQ.

Personally, I'd say the thump is one of the best parts of being a bassist.
But that's me.
