Gibson Melody Maker or MIM telecaster guitar

which would you chose for the fullest or creamiest clean tone out of a guitar? The 350 dollar price ranged Gibson Melody Maker Reissue or a standard MIM telecaster? I'd be using it for an indie rock set up. The distortion i'd be after would be a very weak raw overdrive and the clean i'd be after would be something full and rich and creamy!!

I'd go with the Gibby. Better creamy clean, whereas a tele can be a bit bright.

+1. A Telecaster is good for many situations, but its character is twangy/clanky/bright rather than full-sounding. Haven't tried the MM reissue, but I remember the original as a great little rock guitar with a pretty substantial neck that was still comfortable to play. Definitely go with the Gibson there.
