Gimme ideas for a screenprinted/painted white pickguard job...!

Hey guys

I just got into contact with a mate who paints and finishes guitars and ive been inspired to fully customize my pickguard.

Can any of you guys gimme suggestions/inspiration as to what would look cool on a PG for a fretless jazz bass? He can put any jpeg or bitmap image onto a pickguard so any cool pics - please share!!!

On a fretless suburst Jazz? Seems like Jaco is quite fitting.

You'd/I'd need to find a pretty damn cool picture of jaco if i was going to print it onto the guard...

Hey Daniel, I keep thinking of Nigel-from-Spinal-Tap's T-shirt ... the xray one.

So maybe make the pickguard look like the bass is xraying your pelvis as you play it, with a bitmap of part of a skeleton.

An alternative inspired by the Simpson's opening credits, is some handwritten lines, maybe "i must not outshine the guitard i must not outshine the guitard"

Or maybe just get a cookie recipe and put that on there. That way you'll always have it when you're on tour!
