Exclamation Gino Vannelli.....!!???!!???

a friend of mine just passed along a song to me that he regards in high esteem.... it's a tune by Gino Vannelli... at first I was like ok, then I heard that Vinnie played on it and was some of the first stuff that really got him noticed and then I considered the source, my buddy would not lead me astray, he's one of the heaviest hitters in town and a vet of making mucho music.

so, all I have to say after hearing "Santa Rosa" by Gino Vannelli off of his Night Walker album is GO AND FIND THIS TRACK! it's crazy! definitely dated but it's like it's the missing link between Steely Dan and Toto with a little bit of Mahavishnu mixed in

so ya, even if you don't dig it at first, just try to imagine performing it live, or better yet, writing it in the first place

cheers all

I know Vinnie Fodera, Vinnie Colaiuta and Vinnie Vincent. Are you referring to one of them?

"Vinnie" can only = Vinnie Colaiuta.

Well, I was going to say you forgot 'My Cousin Vinnie (Bag of Donuts)'.

Now who's the "Vinnie" on the Screaming Headless Torsos' debuy disc(Track 1)?

When someone says: "Vinnie" I think of "the microwave". But I dig Gino Vanelli too!

Jimmy Haslip really puts it down on the track "Brother to Brother". Casey Scherell's drumming is just ridiculous!!!

Fuze responded to an email of mine once. He told me Vinnie was a real life experience he had while putting a band together.
