Does a bass make a girl more attractive?? Or does a bass her more masculine?

I'd still play if I looked like a man, nothing will stop me!

You should check out the chick vs. chick with bass threads. You may find your answer there, among many other disgusting, hilarious, epic things.

If the chick looks and acts manly, then the bass will become the tool in which she expresses that manliness. Just like female correction facilities. On the other hand, a feminine female bassist could potentially make playing bass look super sexy. It all depends on the girl.

My opinion, for what it's worth.

Compared to many other wonders of the universe, basses really aren't all that attractive to me, so my vote is none of the above.

A smile and a pleasant attitude makes an attractive girl even more attractive. The fact she wears a bass just gives me a reason to strike up a conversation.

Check out the band Nashville P*ssy. That band's been blessed with some amazing female bass players and a really badass guitarist too!

I actually prefer women who sing or play piano by a long shot. I've dated women who play guitar and I didn't really find it to be particularly something that attracted me to them.

As for women who play bass, well...when I was in college (a small campus indeed) there were about 6 "real" (by real I mean, not guitarists faking bass-playing) on campus and one of the best ones was a girl. We never hung out but we knew about each other as we ran in similar circles. Well, recently I began to talk to her and we really got to know each other. I never ever was considering being attracted to her during the college days and at present, the fact that she plays bass doesn't lend to me an attraction. However, what does is the fact that she knows nothing about theory, sound/tone, or gear. That I have that sort of edge attracts me to her.

And actually, I didn't answer the question - baha. Playing bass to me doesn't make a woman "masculine" at all. Yet, it doesn't really attract me to them. I get impressed, but I don't stop and drool over it.

Maybe I'm not seeing the right bassist, but the one I googled is a tad chubby, and looks like a biker chick. haha

Paz tops her in hotness bigtime....so does Tal.

(if it's wrong one, post the hot one you speak of)

IMHO, no and no.

For me, the attractiveness of a person has rarely anything to do with their hobbies/professions, it's all about their general appearance and social skills.

Then again, when I was young I thought that material posessions and certain activities would have made me more attractive. I could have not been more incorrect .

Regards
Sam

It's not that a bass makes a girl look more attractive. It's the girl who makes the bass more attractive. I like a nice Jazz Bass like anyone else does but when Ginger Reyes plays her P bass, I WANT THAT BASS!!!

Basses do nothing as far as femininity or masculinity is concerned. But it does make someone more attractive. Musical instruments tend to do that!

Playing bass puts me more in touch with my sexy side. It really depends on what it sparks in the individual.
