So - as the weather was pretty wet and horrible - I actually stayed in and watched a lot of the BBC's coverage of the Glastonbury Festival this weekend on TV!
The coverage was very good - 2 or 3 channels at times and on HD! Plus they had an interactive feature where you could choose bands.
I like how there was some good old stuff and good new stuff.
So - stand-out set for me was Iggy Pop and the Stooges with out own Mike Watt on bass!!
Great, monumental sound and most audience involvement all festival!
New stuff - well I really liked the Arctic Monkeys doing "Diamonds are Forever", dedicated to Shirley Bassey who was on the next day and name-checked them while saying - "that's how you do it!"
But what suprised me was a great set from Mark Ronson - who played a great variety of music live with several singers - I am convinced to buy his album after seeing that!
Never heard of him before!
Anybody else go or watch on TV - what were your favourites?
