i have wanted to find a nice store with a decent selection of bass guitars or amps, whether a guitar center/sam ash with a good variety, or a guitar specific store. the guitar center in brea, nearest store to me, has always had the same selection, sam ash up in city of industry is ok. the best store i have been too is a guitar center out kinda in the irvine area that has had an awesome selection. played through an m6 carbine to a mesa 4x10, modulus flea bass, warwick thumb. only problem is that its a bit far for me to remember how to get there, and i cant always go with my dad to tell me directions.
i have wanted to check out the guitar center in hollywood as i hear its two stories, and being hollywood must have a good selection.
so, anyone know of a store that carries a good selection of bass guitars and amps in the socal area?

Fodera, F-Bass Aguilar etc. etc. if that's what your looking for thats the place to go. otherwise the guitar center on on Pico Blvd had a surprisingly decent selection the last time i was there. |

I dunno, but I've know I've gone there MANY times in the past few years and been let down every time.
In LA, the only place I know of is: http://www.bassexchange.com/catalog/index.php
In San Diego, there are two GREAT place: Bass alone and Bass San Diego. I haven't been to Bass Alone in a few years, but Bass SD is *great* (and is about 500 yards from where I work!) http://www.basssandiego.com/
Hmmm - Bass Alone's web page is missing... Are they closed??? |

If you can figure out how to post on TB, you can figure out how to use it to get you to Guitar Center Irvine. |

I want to but I don't think the LADWP needs any more bad press in the form of me hanging out there!
