I have owned or seen many in my time. I just picked up the new victor wooten "groove workshop" 2 disc set after reading some nice comments here on TB. I am half way through and I absolutely love it. It really opens your mind to new playing possibilities regardless of what level you are at. Very useful so far. You don't have to play like vic or even play bass for that matter to get the max benefit from this DVD. I have already turned a guitarist friend on to it and he has been raving about it. Most of the other videos out there are enjoyable to watch and somewhat useful but more tuned to specific styles so for the most part I would reccomend the ones by the players who you like and are most influenced by.

Hey, if you fancy some crazy slapping. This Bill Dickens one is great http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bill-Dickens...0779164&sr=1-1

The Flea dvd is good fun though he's not that great a teacher. It sounds like he shot it on LSD http://www.amazon.co.uk/Flea-Bass-Ja...0779245&sr=1-1

This has bits of teaching in it but is more of a performance. It's a great dvd!
