Good Bass and Piano songs?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey me and my friend are planning to do some recording work with a bass guitar and a piano, but we don't know any good songs that we could cover. Please give any suggestions that could help us out. Thanks

Paul McCartney has done some great songs like this. Check out these, you might like them:

Let 'Em In (super easy and sounds great)
From a Lover to a Friend
Silly Love Songs
C Moon
Maybe I'm Amazed.

Of course you can do any song you like, whether there is piano and bass or not, and just make a nice piano/bass arrangement. Be creative.

Jazz standards are always fun for Bass and Piano.

Some of my favorites:
Take the A Train
All Blues
My Favorite Things (Yes... from the Sound of Music.. Jazz waltz is super fun)
When You Wish Upon a Star (Yes.. from Pinocchio)
Girl From Impanema

Grab a drummer and turn yourself into a Jazz trio!

You have to find the album "Conversations" by Alain Caron. Acoustic 6 strings bass with grand piano. Very nice mix.

There is some duo stuff by carla bley and steve swallow.
There is also a duo disc by swallow with deidre rodman(spelling) which is real nice.
And one with akira ishii which is nice too.
You may ind inspiration from those.
Other than that ,any song you like should be possible to arrange for bass and piano.
