Yeah, especially the new Talkbass version. As soon as I can afford it I am ordering one!

I've got a Fender Deluxe Leather Tweed Strap (the Mrs' got it for me for my b'day... it's on my fretless 6)
and a 2.5" black leather I bought in the mid 80s.
I want the Talkbass strap, but I HATE wide straps |

I use one of these, and it's just right.
I would like one of those TB ones though.

I usually go with Levy's. I have one of these and like it alot, $40. http://69.28.198.16/Levys_2005_Strap...raps_pg45.html |

In my last band we had a lot of "Choreography" which made the show fun, but it's hard to do if the strap moves with you, so having something with a lot of support, but doesn't move is important too. I've been curious to try one of these out. Brooklyn Gear
Some of the Planet wave ones look nice too |

| | No Longer Works a Day Job | | Join Date: Jun 2000 Location: USA | | | The main thing that scares me a bit about the Moody's is the price. I realize they are the end all/be all of straps, but spending $97 + s&h on a strap scares me a bit. E.g. for that price-i can get 2 Levy's M6s [what i currently use]. However, I am really tempted to give the Moody's a try.....i have "left over" graduation money. So my response is: if you have the money-get the Moody's if not, get a Levy's. [assuming you want a wide leather bass strap]. That's all
edit: FWIW, 4 years ago when i bought my M6 i believe it was $38 shipped for BassNW.

| | | I love the Planet Waves straps with the sliding pad, they are simply awesome. They can get over 60" and you can buy 8 of them for the price of ONE Moody
I'd love to have a Moody though..as soon as I have $120 to burn.... |

| | | | I need a SHORT strap, i like wearing my bass at chest-tummy level, not metal style at your knees, like many straps are made for.. and id like one with soft material inside, like a cushioning effect :P what would you recommend?

They are excellent straps, very comfortable. I can play all night with this strap on my Jazz. My other strap is a 4" wide Levy's. The Comfort Strapp is OK but not great.
