Good cheap drum machine

Can anyone recommend a good, cheap (<$100) drum machine? There are a few models that crop up on Ebay frequently, but I've no idea which are good and which are bad. I intend to use this to lay down simple 4/4 beats for beginner students during lessons.

I have an old Boss DR-550MkII drum machine that I bought in 1992 or thereabouts. It's woefully outdated, feature and patch-wise (dated "real" drum samples, non-velocity sensitive pads, etc) but it looks like they go for cheap on ebay judging from a quick search. Probably more than sufficient for what you'll need it for (I use mine occasionally for its 808 sounds and that's it these days.)

If that's all you need, I'd find a Korg PX3B on the cheap.
It'll be much more useful overall, for you. it's a great all around practice tool AND has about 16 or more different drum beats, and you can vary the tempo all you want
