I need to find some good instrument cables , without breaking the bank. I've always liked Spectra-Flex, but I'm open to some suggestions. I'm not a big fan of Monster cables though . Any good recommendations out there ? It would be greatly appreciated.

Ditto on the Monster Cables. Their cables aren't any better than much cheaper ones and their business practices stink.

I like the Rapco 'S' Series cables. Most stores don't keep that model in stock, but any Rapco dealer will special order them for you.

I've been happy with LiveWires. They sell 'em at GC and they have a lifetime guarantee just like Monster.

Has anyone heard about the Elixer Cables?? I just got a little promo @ the store today about them. There really wasn't much info in the packet.

The awesome thing about Bayou cables is that you can get them in multiple colors as well as keeping it in the family. Plus the prices are the best I've seen.

Honestly, the First Act cables from Wal-Mart are really good. Only 10', but they're good and flexible, have braided shielding, and are gold-tipped.

They're also pretty durable, and most importantly (or at least most relative to the thread), cost $6-$7 (if you're in the states)

Best cables I've ever owned, by far, without a doubt. See this thread:

Instrument cables

I know you asked for "low-priced", but it's really not worth the frustration of dealing with cheap cables with crummy lifespans. Do yourself a favor, you won't regret it.

Butch's cords are medium priced, but top quality.
