A good night...

A few months ago I posted a thread where I commented on having an off night, you know the nights...the ones where it feels like you just started playing yesterday?

Well tonight was the exact opposite. I just got a new (to me) Yamaha BB614 which arrived today. Yeah, I know - I need to post pictures in the Bass section...in due time. Fun bass by the way, I highly endorse it (just change the POS preamp). Anyway back to the subject. Tonight was an excellent practice night, my fingers were feeling good and they traveled up and down the neck effortlessly. It was a good night.

Do you think that it's these nights that keep us coming back, the bad ones, or both? I have been playing for a long time and can appreciate the bad nights for what they are, but I also know that there are far more good than bad for me. Enough years of practice and playing secured that.

What I am interested in is what makes you all come back for more every day?
