The good ole days!

Does anyone remember buying the latest album on 12 inch vinyl, by your favourite artist and going home to listen to it with your headphones on whilst relaxing in your beanbag?

Or am I just old?

I remember. I remember 8 tracks too. I remember the old 45 rpm victrolas that would let you put on a stack of 45's. I still have a 2 track 7 1/2 ips tape machine. Now I have a headache from all this remembering. Old? My sig says it all.

Wow! You're 130 years old? You are older than I am by at least a couple of years.

I'm old enough to remember when we called it "wax."

Yes, but I never had a beanbag. My stereo was on a cinder block/plank shelf, though!

Yes!! I remember those days. Opening the album, looking at the artwork, the smell of the vinyl. The lack of over compression in the mix.

I have over 1000 albums on vinyl and still listen to them with and without headphones.

I do remember that when I was in high school in the 70s, that I would often stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning listening to my favorite albums on vinyl through headphones.

My first album was Black Sabbath Paranoid. My second was a KTEL compilation. I used by a lot through Columbia House and BMG.

Remember it well. I still have some old scratched up well worn 12" vinyl records, but I don't have anything to play them on. Maybe it's time to hit the garage sales.

"These are the good ol' days" - Carly Simon

The fact that we're still vertical makes that true

Catching the seeds might have been included in that memory (along with that smell) somewhere...

I dont know why but this made me smile and i need to smile more. I am luckly still into my 80's punk and with alot of bands having reunions 12" and 7" records are coming back. As far as other styles of music I am not sure. But I do love al-bums

I do and I'm 40. I was walking through the mall with my kids not too long ago and was thinking how strange it was to walk end to end through the mall and not see a Sam Goody or Musicland or some other music store. That was when the album artwork was as big as the music. I miss that stuff. Everything today seems so over-processed and cheap...like spray cheese...

I remember! My first album, Kiss-Destroyer!!

Do you all also remember being able to go to the library and listening to their album catalog on a crappy turntable, with headphones? I used to love doing that when I was a kid.
