Good price on hardshell case?

My dads friend has an SKB harshell bass case for sale at a flea market. It is in pristine condition. It does not even look like it has been used. He wants $50.00 for it. I offered him $20.00 and he turned me down then produced a computer printout from Sam ash that shows a similar case for $119.00.
If you were me would you pay him $50.00 for it or keep your money?

give him the $50. thats a more than fair price for a sbk.

I bought an SKB freedom recently for £80 new (about $140 - they're a bit more expensive overhere, and the freedoms are a bit more than the regular skb).

It's an awesome case, worth every penny.

for $50 grab it...

$50 is a great price. I paid double that (Canadian $) for mine, new.

i payed that for one brand new, offer him 30, he says 40 and you say "you got a deal!"

I would offer $40 and go from there. It is a flea market (where you expect haggling). But, you've already insulted him by offering $20. If he says $50 is his lowest, take it - it's still a great deal.

If you need the case-$50 is a great price IMO. I paid right around $100 for my SKB case. The thing has held up great-for hardshell cases, i go to SKB [granted-i also trust Gator]. If you can talk him into less-that's cool, but if you can swing the $50-i'd go for it.
