GOT MY HATE ON: Bamboo stick wraps...

...that drummers are now using. As a former drummer, it was sticks or brushes. Guys like Elvin Jones, Charlie Watts, Bruford, they didn't need a middleman for finesse. We listened and watched them and we learned how to work a stick.

Most drummers out there have it too. But, I'm seeing too much bamboo and too little finesse.

Thoughts?

Good drummers use those for the sound, which is different from a brush or a stick. Bad drummers use them for volume issues....
