My buddy has an extra ticket to go see moe. I'm not a huge jam band type of guy, but I can take it from time to time. Hows the bass player? I heard a few samples, sounds kinda funky..

I say go to every possible show you can. Even if it turns out to be bad live music, your still opening yourself up to the world of live music a bit more.

Yep, definately worth going to free shows. You may find something you dig. If not, what were you going to do instead? Sit on the couch and watch tv?

I've have a moe. cd, and I'd say their bass player, while nothing amazing, was quite good.

Why you I oughta!

I have one of their CD's "The Conch". Pretty cool, excellent musicianship, kind of a Steely Dan vibe in a jam band way, the vocals weren't the best. Rob Derakh is the bass player. His playing on "The Conch" is pretty good.
