Great new Bass Store!

Folks,

Earlier today (well actually yesterday at this point, it's been a long day) I visited Bass Specialties in Bensalem, PA. After my visit there I went on to Philly and just got home now.... or I would have posted this sooner.

Anyway....

Bass Specialties is a new, all Bass, all the time, store located near Philadelphia that just opened this week. In fact, today (and now I really mean today 9/9) they're having their Grand Opening celebration, I think from noon to about 5pm. The event will include appearances by Gerald Veasley and Anthony Wellington.

If I can, I'm going to try to get back to hear these guys play. Coincidentally, today is my birthday, and I have family visiting from out of town, so I might not make it (I can just imagine bringing my Mother to a store full of bass players, lol!) unless I can sneak out for a while, but I'll be there in spirit in any case.

They have a great selection of premium basses and amps there to try and buy in a relaxed environment. They have basses for beginners as well.

While I was there they were unloading a Hot Dog cart, so I'm pretty sure there will be food as well.

Their web site is: http://www.bassspecialties.com/

I'm sure the details of today's event are posted there.

If you're in the area it's worth checking out.

Cheers!

Tony

ps. I'm not affiliated with the store, but I think it's great that the Philly area has a new store dedicated to the needs of serious Bass players.

I forgot to mention...

When I went to Bass Specialties yesterday I met a few TalkBass folks who were also there shopping. It's fun to put faces to some of the names around here.

I hope to meet more TBers there today!

Cheers!

Tony

When I'm right, nobody remembers.
When I'm wrong, nobody forgets.

I wish the L.A. area had some "Great New Bass Stores"

I'll have to take a one day road trip and go out there someday.

I have family up near Philadelphia. If I ever go visit them again, I definately will have to check this place out.
