I am a lousy bass player, probably worse than almost everyone here. Which makes it all the more amazing that my alter-ego, the incomparable Kaiser Dos Nietzsches, is one of the two greatest bassists, artists, scientists, and visionaries of the 21st Century.

The other greatest player? Of course I'm refering to Baron Tristan-Rudolf von Eisenstein, the other half of Laermzirkus. Yes, THE Laermzirkus.

They have just released their first video.

From the website:

"The future of bass; the future of science, the future of now, today!

We have poured our souls into this masterwork. Our tears and more than a million watts. Now imagine a microphone in a cocktail blender with live mice!

100%, pure tomorrow."

Of course, Big Bottom is a seminal masterwork.

Laemzirkus sees as far as they do because they stand on the shoulders of giants!

years ago there was a television program called Lonesome Pine Special that was much like Austin City Limits.

They did a program once with Victor Wooten, Ray Brown and Edgar Meyer that included a peice where all three of them played the same upright bass at the same time.

To this day that remains the most amazing thing I've seen done to a bass.
