Ok, my friend and I are constanly arguing about the greatest guitarist, I say its Jimi Hendrix but he says in Avenged Sevenfolds Synsyter Gates.

What do you think?

There's Tommy Emmanuel and then there's everybody else.

This acoustic electric player from Australia is really not that well known but search out some of his stuff on YouTube and Google him. Nobody can play like he does.

John Lennon and George Harrison weren't even the greatest guitar players in the Beatles.

Tommy Emmanuel's good yet Phil Keaggy and Andy Mckee are just as good IMO. As far as electric players, I like Steve Morse, Tony MacAlpine, and Greg Howe. All are simply a matter of opinion, however so take it as so.

The only good guitarist is a dead guitarist.

And obviously its a joke poll anyway, since Cobain is on it...no one ever blamed the dude of being more then competent at guitar.

I went to a show once and saw this guy...I think his name was Frank Zappa. He wasn't so bad at guitar either.

I can assure you that none of them are on the list you've provided. Both you and your friend are wrong

This thread is stupid.

Music is art, and while you can have a favorite artist, that doesn't make one greater than the other.

On a side note, Avenged Sevenfold blows.

But agree with a dead guitarist.

This Poll is irrelevant without Steve Howe, David Gilmour or Pete Townshend.
