Groovy songs for an intermediate player

I'm looking for suggestions for a few groovy songs that are good practice.... Any suggestions? I'm open to anything, really. Just want to really improve my playing and play some songs that people might actually know. Lol.

Depends on what genres you like and what you consider intermediate. Listing some examples might help. In the meantime, here's a few I liked when I started getting the basics down and was looking to expand (keep in mind, I was about 15 at the time I was playing these :P).

Jamiroquai
-Cosmic Girl
-Runaway
Iron Maiden
- Two Minutes to Midnight
- Number of the Beast
Stone Temple Pilots
- Interstate Love Song
- Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart
Red Hot Chili Peppers
- Under the Bridge
- Higher Ground
Duran Duran
- Rio
- Come Undone
Black Sabbath
- War Pigs
- Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Muse
- Hysteria
- Hyper Music

May I suggest picking up any compilation CD of funk, Motown, or R&B, too.

Well, I actually play and listen to metal for the most part.. but I like to listen to jazz, techno, even some country and folk music.. but really anything that has a good bass line intrigues me. Something that gets you going..
Uh.. a few songs I can play:
Katatonia's "Teargas" and it's pretty easy for me..
Porcupine Tree's "Hatesong" and it's pretty easy, too.
Pink Floyd's "Money" and again, rather easy.
That's why I'm kinda stuck. A lot of the music I listen to it's pretty complicated or not very complicated at all, I guess. Like, I listen to a lot of Tool.. but a lot of Tool's songs are too complicated for me, yet. Opeth, Dream Theater.. yeah.. I dunno.
But again, open to anything that has a nice line to it. Recently I've been trying to learn Mudvayne's "Do what you do." and it's pretty easy other than the tapping part, but I'm thinking something along the same difficulty as that.

A lot of Tool stuff isn't overly 'hard' it's the timing.

Shallow by Porcupine Tree is a pretty decent song to play

Floyd's Time is a pretty fun song to play IMO

Find things in off beats or play notes on off beats to help break up the 'simplicity' rut...which may not be simple songs, but being able to hold a groove even on something your ear isn't used to hearing is something that is good to work on.

The simple songs force you to concentrate the whole song and can be just as important as a chops filled song.

here's a real easy Roots tune that has a tricky feel/syncopation. based simply on Gmajor but it starts on the D. i practice this one because the feel is way more important than the notes. also, pay attention to the tone and punch. you'll nail the notes, but the phrasing will make holla for more! gl
