Another thing we need to do is stop the singer's chat between songs, it just gives people time to wander off the dance floor.

Old School funk from the 1970s, and/or disco hits from the 70s or 80s seems to be the hot button for getting crowds around here up & on their feet:

Omg! I spent 2 months down there eons ago and love those girls!

At our gig this past Sat night we played White Room. I was surprised that it PACKED
the dance floor.

YMCA and Play That Funky Music. They are largely why I quit that cover band.
