don't flame for this:
i found an old Yamaha sg500b on sale at guitar center for 170 bucks!
seemed like a great deal so i grabbed it.

is anyone familiar with these guitars?
i believe it was made in japan in the late 70's early 80's
looks like a double cut Les Paul.

Don't know anything about that guitar, but a few weeks ago I walked into a GC and found a Aguilar DB 680 just sittin' there lookin' pretty. It now looks even better in my rack. lol!!

They're nice guitars. Very similar vibe to a Gibson SG. Carlos Santana used to play an SG2000, which is just a fancier version.
As long as it doesn't have any neck/trussrod issues, that's a good price.
