I got a postcard that GC has a clearance event going on this weekend, plus a special 7-9pm Saturday sale where prices are even lower.
Any of you guys that work at GC know if this is their normal marketing crap or are they going to actual have some good deals? Is there any way to find out if the stuff I want is going to be on sale considering GC is quite a hike from me? |

| | | | My GC is also a 15 minute drive but considering the noise and confusion generated by metal head kids (and the inability for any form of professional strore management), I only go there for a real reason.
Don't they usualy close at 6:00 on Saturday? |

| | Son, I am disappoint. | | Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Gig Harbor, Washington | | | I wonder if its going to be the normal 10% off kind of crap, I have never seen anything at a GC around here with a discount of more than 10% and those discounts are pointless since our sales tax is pushing 10% (and is 10% for certain businesses).

Yes the sales are to get people in the stores.... If people didnt go into stores there wouldnt be stores to shop at and try out instruments. I would say Warwick $$ 5 strings for $750, SVT6 Pro for $495, 51 P bass for $339 and a bunch more are pretty good deals. Sorry 10% isnt good enough for some people. Its not a big deal if buying strings, but if looking for a rig or a high end guitar I would take a $100 bucks or more if someone handed it to me just to get me to come look at what a store has to offer. Yes Im a manager at GC and it gets old reading the insults. |

GC is a mixed bag, but I havent seen any decent sales at the Tukwilla and Tacoma GC's.
