hey, i just wondering for those guys that also play guitar, what would be an equivilant guitar forum to talkbass?

You'll get several opinions, but in my opinion the guitar equivalent to TalkBass is the Fender Discussion Group, or FDP for short. Check it out for yourself and see.

The seven string guitar forum is excellent but its focus is primarily 7 strings. Great knowledge base there though. Lots of people with 8 and 9 string guitars on there too

Agreed. Add My Les Paul for Gibson-related discussions. (Not limited to Gibson, by any means, but about a third of the threads are Les Paul, SG, etc. related.)

Well one i would say is the forums at www.ultimate-guitar.com but the best IMO is fenderforum
