| Guitar instruction DVD for beginner?

A buddy of mine has been hacking around on guitar for years with a few things I and other folks showed her and wants to knuckle down a bit and learn.
Although lessons with a decent teacher would normally be best, I think a DVD would be best for her as due to her fragile mental state (she has actual, medically diagnosed issues) I know her self-motivation will come and go. At least with a DVD she can put it away for a while, then work on it again when she's feeling motivated.
So any recommendations for instructional DVD's that will take someone from "not-quite-a beginner-but-far-from-intermediate" level? She has musical knowledge as a singer and some vocal training so she's at least a bit musically aware.
Her direction is more in the acoustic guitar strumming and fingerpicking for accompanying vocals - not hot licks flash.
