Crap...hope he's going to be OK.

Loved Mountain...WB&L? Did not really know how bad that experiment was until I read Jack Bruce Composing Himself.
One time I heard West on Howard Stern's radio show talking about a jam/project with Joe Walsh. Apparently, West was too loud & Walsh wimpered on & on about it (according to West).

Here's one of my favorite West, Bruce & Laing songs from 1972 - "While You Sleep":

God Bless West

Prayers and good wishes for speedy recovery.

I saw Mountain nearly every time they were in Atlanta. In 1971,I met Pappalradi outside our old Atlanta Municpal Auditorium.

Saw WB&L at Ga Tech Alexander Coloseum. Stood right in Front of West. [ He used a 3 pup Flying V ;he used the center pup space for an ashtray]

Decades later, I got to speak with West on the [now defunct] Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom Show. This was one of the best Rock Radio shows ever. Anyhow, West gave my wife & me tickets for the show. He was warming up for Mother's Finest.

A few years ago, my wife treated us to see West [warm up for Satriani]. They even jammed together. Who would have though they would be on the same bill.??....GREAT Show.

If I can ever afford a rock fantasy camp, I would love to sign up, just to jam with West..God Bless and speedy recovery. He doesn't need legs for his signature vibratto.
