Guitar names

I thought this might be interesting. Looking back at some famous guitar players (the only coming to mind would be Eric Clapton), some take pride in naming their guitar(s) (Mr. Clapton's being Blackie, and now Blackie II). I was just wondering if any member of these forums decided to attach a name to their guitar?

For me, I decided to name mine (a black Squier Affinity Series P Bass) Melvin. Why? It's not a common name. Sorta geeky, to fit my personality. Plus it sounds cool.

Stevie Ray called his favorite Strat(the really battered one) 'Number One'.
Billy Sheehan called his abused Fender P 'the Wife.'
You'll know Jamerson's 'Funk Machine' and Jaco's 'Bass of Doom.'
Billy Gibbons favorite Les Paul is 'Pearly Gates.'

Those are the ones that came to mind while reading your post.

Mine are 'the fretless' , 'the Spector' , 'The Strat' , 'The Hamer' , and 'the Taylor'

My daughter calls my Spector 'the Red One'. She calls my Taylor her 'Little Sister' and my Hamer 'the Pretty One.'
