Guitar Pro is a multitrack editor/player program.

It's a program similar to Power Tabs that lets you download tabs for songs and write out your own stuff including the instruments for the song, like bass, guitar 2, drums, vocal melodies, etc. The reason I like it is because it also gives you the rhythm notation and it can actually write it out in music if you want. I use it a lot, basically every time I want to learn a rock song I check to see if theres a Guitar Pro tab for it, which there usually is. It's a cool program, if you want to check it out you can download a demo version of it.

It's way superior to PowerTab, lets you control practically everything. Really helps in composing - if it sounds well in GP, it will sound good live too

the tabs are probably the most accurate around with a large selection.

www.ultimate-guitar.com has the most i've seen.
