Guitar (Six String) Instruction

I did a search for "guitar", "website". "instruction", etc. but found no related threads.

My 14 year-old wants to teach herself how to play guitar online. She has an acoustic six string. Can anyone suggest some good websites where she can learn proper technique, finger positioning, chords, etc. Maybe a good DVD? She has had little music education so nothing too deep on theory please. Thanks.

Look,i started learning guitar recently,and the book "guitar for dummies" is helping a lot...i also started learning bass from one of those books tbh!
They're good for picking up something quick,but as you progress they become less useful!
I know its not really online,but its worth mentioning

You can teach her technique; it's pretty much the same and she'll make the adjustmens on her own.

The best resource for leaning guitar I know is The Beatles Fake Book. I don't care for some of the chord voicings but it's a great place to start.
